Family Weekend

Staycation

With our daily lives getting in the way, it can seem nearly impossible to have constructive time for yourself, let alone your entire family. Schedules conflict, change, and mire our plans for family weekends. Furthermore, with the economy in a rut, spending money to go out is less likely than it used to be. However, planning a family weekend doesn't necessarily mean having to go out somewhere and spend loads of money. The main goal of the family weekend is to spend time together and nourish each others thoughts, emotions, and ideas.

These aspects of our persons are especially important in order to encourage strong developmental growth in young children, and to retain a sense of togetherness in your entire family. Family is a bond, that while it can never be broken, it can be weakened. What weakens this bond is the lack of nourishment from not enough quality time spent together. The only way to strengthen this bond is to come together every once in awhile and devote your time to your family members. Not only will this bring you closer, but it will also help to foster a sense of morality and character in your children. If you cannot go out because you can't afford to, or for other reasons, then stay at home with the family, or do something that is free. There are plenty of options for you and your family to choose from at home to have a nice family weekend together. So call up those relatives, and prepare to strengthen the family bond!

Fun, Free, Family Weekends
Going to a park with the entire family is a great way to socially interact with each other outside of your home, and to explore the beauty of nature together. You can do many things at your local park, such as have a family picnic. All you need is a few supplies from home and you're set! Eating outside of the home in nature is an excellent way to curb monotony, and to experience things from a new angle with your entire family. Furthermore, most parks have nature trails where you and your family can go for a nice walk together. Walking is a great way to promote both thinking and verbal fluidity. With a nice walk, you and your family can have in depth conversations while enjoying the park's wonderful foliage. What's more is you can also go for a bike ride through the park. If you have young children, you will be able to teach them how to ride a bicycle, and thus establish their sense of industry. This is a very important part of development in young children.
Going to a museum is another great activity that can be done on your family weekend. At the museum, you and your family will be able to explore new cultures together, and it will help strengthen your child's understanding of the world. Your children may find a typical art museum boring, but there are some places that are exciting for children, such as a dinosaur museum. The lifelike replicas of the dinosaurs will amuse your children, and even pike your own interests.
